Tiny Scout
Tiny Scout is a prebuilt research sub-agent that discovers prospects, researches companies, and gathers competitive intelligence. Enable it in the Capabilities tab to let your agent conduct research during conversations.
What it does
When a user asks your agent to research something, Tiny Scout:
- Searches the web for relevant information
- Analyzes multiple sources
- Extracts key data points (company info, contact details, market data)
- Returns structured findings to your agent
Example interactions
| User asks | Tiny Scout does |
|---|---|
| "Research Acme Corp" | Finds company website, size, industry, funding, key people |
| "Find competitors to Slack" | Discovers and compares competing products |
| "What's the market size for no-code tools?" | Aggregates market research data |
| "Find the CTO of this company" | Looks up executive team information |
Enabling Tiny Scout
- Open your agent in the Agent Studio
- Go to the Capabilities tab
- Scroll to Prebuilt Agents
- Toggle Tiny Scout on
Your agent will automatically use Scout when research-related questions come up.
When to use
- Sales agents that need to research prospects before outreach
- Competitive intelligence bots

- Due diligence tools
Tiny Scout uses credits per research query. Complex queries that require multiple web searches consume more credits.
Credits
This sub-agent consumes credits per invocation. The cost depends on the complexity of the task and how many web searches or API calls it makes.
Combining with other sub-agents
Enable multiple sub-agents for more powerful workflows:
- Scout + Composer: research a prospect, then write a personalized email
- Scout + Company Enricher: research then enrich with structured data
- Composer + Email Finder: write outreach and find the email to send it to
Monitoring usage
Check the Activity tab to see when this sub-agent was invoked, what it was asked, and what it returned. Use this to verify quality and optimize prompts.
