Pardot (rebranded as Marketing Cloud Account Engagement in 2022) is Salesforce's B2B marketing-automation platform — bundled deeply with Salesforce CRM, used by mid-market and enterprise B2B orgs already running Salesforce. The connection uses Salesforce OAuth (Pardot lives inside the Salesforce auth model now) plus the Pardot business unit ID. Pardot's grading and scoring (the qualification signals it pushes to Salesforce CRM as Lead Grade A-D + numeric score 0-100) are the core mechanism that flows from this side into the sales workflow.
