Missive

Missive shared-inbox messaging and tasks

Missive is the team-inbox app that won by combining email, SMS, social DMs, and team chat in a single threaded interface — used heavily by agencies, customer-success teams, and small companies that want shared inboxes without the per-seat Front pricing. Tiny Command exposes four actions, no triggers (Missive has Rules configured per-account in admin that can POST to a webhook URL on inbox events; point at a Tiny Command webhook trigger): List Conversations (paginated history with filters by inbox, label, status), Send Email (compose and send a new email from a shared inbox, or reply to an existing conversation), Post Comment (internal team comment on a conversation — Missive's collaboration primitive; comments appear inline in the thread, visible only to teammates), Create Task (Missive's lightweight task system, attached to a conversation with optional due date and assignee). The connection uses a Missive API token from Account Settings → API.

Actions

Do anything Missive can do, from a workflow.

Every action accepts dynamic inputs from upstream nodes, whether that's an AI output, a form field, or a search result.

ActionWhat it does
Create Missive TaskCreates a task (optionally tied to a conversation) with due date and assignee. For "follow up with this customer in 3 days" or "ensure handoff complete" workflows.
List Missive ConversationsPaginated conversations with filters by inbox, label, status. For triage and capacity workflows.
Missive Post CommentPosts a team-only comment on a conversation thread. For AI-summarised context or escalation handoff notes that teammates see in-thread.
Missive Send EmailComposes and sends a new email from a shared inbox, optionally threading into an existing conversation. For Missive-based shared inboxes where the email goes out as the team rather than an individual.

Before you build

Three things worth knowing.

Filter at the trigger

Tiny Command counts a run the moment a trigger fires. Filtering early means only matching events spend your usage budget.

Authorize once, reuse anywhere

Connect Missive once and every workflow on your account can use its triggers and actions. You don't have to re-auth per workflow.

No JSON to read

Every Missive field shows up in the visual picker for downstream nodes. The raw payload is there for power users, optional for everyone else.
