Hotjar
Hotjar feedback and survey events
Hotjar is the behaviour-analytics product for understanding what users do on a website — session recordings, heatmaps, feedback widgets, on-page surveys, the full "watch what users actually do" stack. Tiny Command surfaces two triggers — New Feedback (fires when a visitor submits a Feedback widget response — text, emoji rating, and the page they were on) and New Survey Response (fires when someone completes an on-page or external Survey) — plus two actions: List Heatmaps (every heatmap in the workspace with URL, page, and recent activity), List Recordings (paginated session recordings with metadata, filterable by page, country, browser). The connection uses Hotjar's Insights API key (per-workspace from Insights settings). New Feedback is the high-value trigger for product teams: a frustrated user submits a 1-emoji rating with the message "checkout broke" — fire a workflow that creates a Linear issue with the recording URL embedded, notifies #product-feedback in Slack, and tags the customer in HubSpot as at-risk.
Workflows start when Hotjar does.
2 real-time triggers, each backed by a webhook subscription. Events arrive within seconds and you don't have to set up polling.
Fires when a visitor submits the Hotjar Feedback widget. Payload includes rating, text, URL, browser, and the session replay URL. For "frustrated user submitted feedback → create Linear issue with the replay link" workflows.
Fires when someone completes a Hotjar Survey with the answers array. For "NPS detractor submitted → alert CS team" or "feedback by topic → route to right team" workflows.
Do anything Hotjar can do, from a workflow.
Every action accepts dynamic inputs from upstream nodes, whether that's an AI output, a form field, or a search result.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| List Hotjar Heatmaps | Returns the configured heatmaps in the workspace with URLs and recent activity. Useful for inventory and for resolving heatmap IDs. |
| List Hotjar Recordings | Paginated session recordings with filters by page, country, browser, device. Useful for "this morning, find any recordings with errors" diagnostic workflows. |

Three things worth knowing.
Tiny Command counts a run the moment a trigger fires. Filtering early means only matching events spend your usage budget.
Connect Hotjar once and every workflow on your account can use its triggers and actions. You don't have to re-auth per workflow.
Every Hotjar field shows up in the visual picker for downstream nodes. The raw payload is there for power users, optional for everyone else.
