Gusto
Gusto payroll, employee, and time-off reads
Gusto is the SMB payroll-and-benefits platform — runs payroll, files taxes, manages benefits, tracks time-off — used by startups and small businesses for the full HR stack without the enterprise overhead of ADP or Workday. Tiny Command exposes four read-side actions, no triggers (Gusto offers webhooks via the partner API for events like employee_created, payroll_run; for most workflows, scheduled-cadence reads are the standard pattern): List Employees (every employee in the connected company, with employment status, salary, department), Get Employee (full record with personal info, compensation, jobs, payment method), List Payrolls (recent payroll runs with totals, taxes, employee breakdowns), List Time-Off Requests (vacation/sick/PTO requests with status, dates, approver). The connection uses Gusto OAuth at company scope; the OAuth flow is gated to verified Gusto partners for write access, but read access works with standard OAuth. Writes (creating employees, running payroll) require partner-level OAuth which isn't covered by this connector's typed actions; reach via HTTP action with the elevated credentials if needed.
Do anything Gusto can do, from a workflow.
Every action accepts dynamic inputs from upstream nodes, whether that's an AI output, a form field, or a search result.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Get Gusto Employee | Returns full employee record with employment, contact, compensation, and benefits info. Sensitive fields (SSN, bank) are masked. The standard lookup for HR-sync workflows. |
| List Gusto Employees | Returns paginated employees for the connected company. Useful for "sync company directory to BambooHR" or for "monthly headcount report" workflows. |
| List Gusto Payrolls | Returns recent payroll runs with totals and per-employee breakdowns. For "monthly payroll cost allocation by department" accounting workflows. |
| List Time-Off Requests | Returns vacation/sick/PTO requests with status, dates, type, approver. For "team capacity this week" planning workflows or for "alert when key person is out" coverage automation. |

Three things worth knowing.
Tiny Command counts a run the moment a trigger fires. Filtering early means only matching events spend your usage budget.
Connect Gusto once and every workflow on your account can use its triggers and actions. You don't have to re-auth per workflow.
Every Gusto field shows up in the visual picker for downstream nodes. The raw payload is there for power users, optional for everyone else.
