Orbit

Orbit (Common Room) community analytics

Orbit (acquired by Common Room in 2022) was the community analytics platform — track engagement signals across Discord, Slack, GitHub, Twitter, forums to identify your most engaged community members. Tiny Command exposes one action, no triggers: List Items (member or activity records). The connection uses Orbit API credentials. Note: Orbit's standalone product was shut down in 2024 after the Common Room acquisition; Common Room is the successor product. For new workflows tracking developer-community or DevRel engagement, use Common Room or alternatives (Crowd, Threado). For existing Orbit-integrated workflows, behaviour depends on the current state of the API post-shutdown.

Actions

Do anything Orbit can do, from a workflow.

Every action accepts dynamic inputs from upstream nodes, whether that's an AI output, a form field, or a search result.

ActionWhat it does
Orbit List ItemsReturns recent member or activity records. Note: Orbit's standalone product was wound down post-2024 acquisition; use Common Room or alternatives for new community analytics workflows.

Before you build

Three things worth knowing.

Filter at the trigger

Tiny Command counts a run the moment a trigger fires. Filtering early means only matching events spend your usage budget.

Authorize once, reuse anywhere

Connect Orbit once and every workflow on your account can use its triggers and actions. You don't have to re-auth per workflow.

No JSON to read

Every Orbit field shows up in the visual picker for downstream nodes. The raw payload is there for power users, optional for everyone else.
