Discourse
Discourse forum and community automation
Discourse is the open-source forum platform — modern UI, deep moderation tools, used by most large open-source projects (Rust, Elixir, Python forums all run on Discourse) and many SaaS communities (Stripe, Shopify, Linear support forums). Tiny Command exposes two actions, no triggers (Discourse supports webhooks configured in admin Plugins → Webhook URLs; point at a Tiny Command webhook trigger URL for post-created, topic-created, user-joined events): Create Topic (start a new topic in a specific category with title, body, optional tags), List Latest Topics (recent topics across the forum or filtered to a category). The connection takes the Discourse instance URL plus an API key + API username (from admin API panel). Discourse is popular with developer-tool and community-driven SaaS companies for both support forums (Q&A community) and product announcements (release-notes channel). The Create Topic pattern is useful for "auto-post weekly release notes" or "create a topic per support ticket category" workflows.
Do anything Discourse can do, from a workflow.
Every action accepts dynamic inputs from upstream nodes, whether that's an AI output, a form field, or a search result.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create Discourse Topic | Starts a new topic in a specified category with title, body (markdown), and optional tags. For "weekly release notes → auto-post to release-notes category" or "support request from external → create topic in Help category" workflows. |
| List Latest Topics | Returns recent topics across the forum or filtered to a category. Useful for "what's active in our community this week" digests and for "any unanswered support topics?" maintenance workflows. |

Three things worth knowing.
Tiny Command counts a run the moment a trigger fires. Filtering early means only matching events spend your usage budget.
Connect Discourse once and every workflow on your account can use its triggers and actions. You don't have to re-auth per workflow.
Every Discourse field shows up in the visual picker for downstream nodes. The raw payload is there for power users, optional for everyone else.
